At 1Techlink, we are seeing that transition happen firsthand.

We have NYSC corper members as interns within 1Techlink, getting trained and putting their training into practice and contributing to the development of real products and solutions.

This is what the journey from classroom to company looks like.

From learning concepts to solving problems

One of the biggest gaps in technology education is the distance betweenknowing somethingandbeing able to use it.

You can complete a course, pass an assessment, and earn a certificate.

But a company operates differently.

There are deadlines.

There are customers.

There are changing requirements.

There are problems nobody has written a textbook chapter about.

And there is a team depending on you to figure things out.

That is why the transition into the workplace matters at 1Techlink.

Our interns are not simply observing professionals at work. They are entering an environment where their skills are tested against real-world requirements.

They are learning how technology, business, communication and teamwork come together to create products people can actually use.

Meet our interns on their journey

One of the most rewarding parts of training future tech professionals is seeing them move from learning concepts in the classroom to applying those skills on real-world projects.

Meet Kolawole Oladipupo Joshua, an NYSC corp member, who is currently interning at 1Techlink.

Since joining 1Techlink as an intern, Joshua has continued to expand his technical knowledge and practical experience, He is gaining valuable skills in networking and database management, building a strong foundation for his career in technology.

Today, he is taking things a step further by learning mobile app development and frontend development while contributing to live projects at 1Techlink.

The skills Joshua is learning are now being applied to products being developed by the 1Techlink team. Rather than working on practice projects alone, he has had the opportunity to contribute to solutions that are actively being built for users.

One of his notable contributions has been supporting the database structure of a product and assisting with its mapping services. These hands-on experiences have given him a deeper understanding of how technology products are designed, developed, and improved through teamwork.

Reflecting on his journey, Joshua says one of the biggest differences between learning and having hands-on experience at 1Techlink is the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals.

"Having mentors who are already working in the field to guide and educate me throughout my learning journey has made a huge difference. Working as part of a team has also taught me how to be more productive and contribute effectively to real projects."

Joshua's story highlights the value of combining quality training with practical industry experience. At 1Tech Academy, students don't just learn technical skills; they gain the confidence, mentorship, and hands-on exposure needed to thrive in the tech industry.

As he continues to grow in mobile app and frontend development, we're excited to see what he builds next.

Growth in tech is not always about learning a completely new skill. Sometimes, it is about deepening your expertise, taking ownership, and gaining the confidence to handle bigger responsibilities.

That was the experience of Bello Muhammed, a Software Engineer who joined 1Techlink as an NYSC corps member.

According to Muhammed, one of the biggest changes he experienced was his mindset toward responsibility and ownership. Working on real-world projects challenged him to think differently, solve problems independently, and contribute more meaningfully to product development.

The opportunity to work on products individually and as a team also played a major role in his growth. It pushed him to become more confident in his decision-making, improve his problem-solving skills, develop ownership, and strengthen his technical abilities.

Reflecting on his journey, Bello shares a lesson that continues to guide him:

"To become king, you have to learn, bow and SERVE."

For him, growth came from being willing to learn and unlearn, architect, engineer, contribute, and take on responsibilities whenever the opportunity presented itself.

Muhammed's story is a reminder that career development is not only about acquiring new skills and suffering from tech fatigue. It is also about refining existing ones, embracing ownership, and gaining the practical experience needed to grow into a stronger professional.
